2. Our records show you signed up over the internet to Buy electricity for (name of business or
home owner) at (address), and I am calling today to find out if you would like to continue with
that contract, is that correct? YES
3. This converstaion is being recorded you are entitled to receive a copy of this recording today or
in the future do you understand? YES
4. Would you like to retrieve a copy of the contract disclosure statement and price comparison for
reference purposes before proceeding with this call? NO (but your choice)
5. Are you comfortable receiving this call in English? (YES or NO - Your choice)
6. Am I speaking with the person whose name is on the electricity bill for the Electricity/Gas at
(address) and confirming your name (business or homeowner name)? YES

9. I have some other questions to ask you to confirm that you would like to continue with the
contract, but before I do that I must inform you that you don’t have to continue with the
contract if you don’t want to. If you don’t want to continue with the contract you will keep
buying your electricity like you do today and you won’t have to pay any cancellation fees. Do

13. Did the email also include a disclosure statement that explains basic information about Energy
contracts and your rights and responsibilities as an energy consumer? YES
14. And did the email also include a price comparison that explains how xoom energy price
compares Xoom to the price of your electricity utility? YES
15. Did you understand that XOOM energy is not your utility and is not associated with the Ontario
energy board or the government of Ontario? YES
16. And now only that I need to ask you some questions to understand what you will be paying for
electricity on the contract. Before I go on there is no guarantee that the contract will save you
any money on your electricity bill. I have your electricity account as _____________. Is that
correct? YES
17. And the plan you have selected is a variable rate plan for a term of 60 months do you
understand that with a variable rate plan your electricity will be supplied by Xoom energy at an
electricity rate that will fluctuate month to month after the introductory period ends. Additional
information in regards to rate calculations can be found in your contract. And the term of this
agreement will begin on the meter read date set by your local utility immediately after your
successful enrollment with XOOM energy. Do you understand? YES
18. And do you have any questions about how much you will be paying for electricity under the
contract? NO
19. Now we have covered what you will be paying for electricity under the contract. I have to
explain that the contract price only covers part of your bill. Your will continue to be responsible
for paying other charges like delivery charge and taxes. You also will continue to be responsible
to be paying your share of Global Adjustment which will show up as a separate line on your
electricity bill.
20. Do you have any questions on the global adjustment or the other charges that you still have to
pay on top of the contract price? NO
21. And do you agree to continue to buy electricity from XOOM energy for 60 months at the price
we talked about today? YES
22. And if you change your mind about the contact you can call Xoom energy if you want to cancel
the contract up to 30 days after you receive your second bill that shows the contract price. You
have to pay that bill but you won’t have to pay any cancellation fees. If you can cancel after that
your may have to pay a cancellation fee but the product you selected DOES NOT have a
cancellation fee. Do you have any questions? NO
23. And you can get any information on energy contract prices and your rights & responsibilities as
an energy consumer from the Ontario Energy Board. The Ontario Energy Board is an
independent government agency that oversees the electricity and natural gas sector in Ontario.
